Dong Lu (played by Qin Hao) is kicked out of the house by his wife and becomes a basement manager through the recommendation of his classmate Duo Shu (played by Wen Song). While cleaning, he accidentally learns of a huge sum of money in the basement, and that the brother-in-law of a city official who fell from grace is also hiding here. After getting acquainted with his neighbor Jiu Qian (played by Xie Nan), Lu wins everyone’s recognition and secures the money. When the cash is exposed and danger approaches, a battle erupts in the basement.
